Accessibility Statement
The standard this site is built to, what we check, where it still falls short, and how to reach us if something does not work for you.
Our commitment
Khatib Law LLC wants everyone to be able to read this site, contact the firm and pay an invoice, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or switch devices. Accessibility is part of how the site is designed and reviewed, not an add-on, and we do not rely on an overlay widget to claim conformance.
The standard we build to
The site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, and we are working toward the additional Level AA criteria in WCAG 2.2, including visible focus, larger target sizes and no drag-only interactions. The U.S. Department of Justice points businesses open to the public to WCAG as the technical reference for website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and we treat it that way.
What we do
- Every page has one heading structure that screen readers can navigate, a skip link to the main content, and a visible keyboard focus indicator.
- Text and background colors meet at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, and information is never conveyed by color alone.
- Images carry text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- The contact form has visible labels, error messages linked to their fields, and no time limit.
- Pages respect your reduced-motion setting, and they work at 200 percent zoom and on a 320-pixel-wide screen without horizontal scrolling.
- Each release is checked with automated tools and by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader, and anything found goes on the next fix list.
Known limitations
- Some PDF documents linked from articles, including government forms hosted elsewhere, may not be tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the information in an accessible format.
- The map on the contact page is an embedded third-party map; the address, directions and phone number are also provided as text.
- Payment pages are hosted by LawPay, and the Cook County property tax tools are hosted by Cook County Tax Appeals LLC. We do not control their accessibility. If you cannot use them, call us and we will arrange another way.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site does not work for you, or you need information in another format, contact us:
- Email: info@khatiblaw.com
- Phone: (708) 722-2222, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Mail: Khatib Law LLC, 6600 W College Dr, Ste 207, Palos Heights, IL 60463
Tell us the page address and what went wrong. We aim to respond within five business days and to fix the problem or provide the content another way: a phone appointment, a large-print or plain-text copy, or an email with the information you were looking for.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on desktop and mobile, with common screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver, and with browser zoom and operating-system text-size settings. Reading the content and finding our phone number do not require JavaScript.
Responsibility and review
Hani H. Khatib, managing attorney, is responsible for this statement. The site's accessibility is reviewed with each major content or design change and at least once a year. This statement was published on October 4, 2026, and will be updated after each review. See also our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and Disclaimer, or visit our contact page.
